Botulinum toxin brands legally imported into Thailand (2026 update)

The main brands registered and found in standard clinics across Thailand:

  • Botox by Allergan (USA) — the original, longest in use, with the most research behind it; the highest price in the group
  • Dysport (UK) — in wide global use for a long time; its diffusion behaves differently from the others, so doctors often choose it by treatment area
  • Xeomin (Germany) — its selling point is a purified protein with no excess complexing proteins, often discussed for lowering the risk of Botox resistance
  • Nabota (South Korea) — a highly popular Korean brand balancing price and quality
  • Botulax (South Korea) — the accessible-price group, popular for jaw-slimming work
  • Aestox (South Korea) — a newer Korean brand that entered the market more recently

How much does the brand matter? What actually decides the result

What the sales articles rarely say: every brand on the list above works with the same substance group — Botulinum Toxin Type A. The differences in real patients come from three things, in order of weight: one, whether the product is genuine; two, whether the unit dose fits the muscle; three, how precisely it is placed. Brand comes near the end. Paying extra for a top brand and then being injected by someone who is not a doctor is getting the priorities exactly backwards.

How to check that the vial you're getting is genuine

  • The vial is opened from a new box in front of you, with a Thai-language Thai FDA label, a clear lot number and expiry date
  • The brand on the box matches what was agreed and what you are paying — beware paying premium-brand prices for a cheaper brand or a split vial
  • The number of units used should be stated clearly before injection
  • The product's registration number can be checked against the Thai FDA database, and some brands have the importer's own authenticity-check system

Beware smuggled and split-vial botulinum toxin

Abnormally cheap botulinum toxin usually comes from one of two places: smuggled or counterfeit product that never passed the Thai FDA, or split vials that are over-diluted or stored incorrectly. The consequences range from seeing no result at all to triggering Botox resistance — which permanently reduces how well future injections work. The bottom line

There is no best brand for everyone — only a genuine brand that fits your case, in the hands of a doctor who injects well. Use this list to know what's legal, then spend the rest of your energy on verifying authenticity and choosing the doctor. Those two are what actually decide the result.
